CM Vantage Specialty Insurance Company, part of the Church Mutual family of companies, is celebrating…

2026 | JUNE
CM CARES®, the Church Mutual Insurance Company Foundation, announced that employees helped direct $45,000 to 14 nonprofits across the country through the company’s employee-led giving program.
Held twice a year, the initiative invites employees across the Church Mutual family of companies to nominate nonprofit organizations making a difference in their communities. This spring, employees nominated more than 70 nonprofits across the United States.
As part of the Church Mutual family of companies, CM Vantage Specialty Insurance Company employees participated by nominating nonprofits and voting for the causes they care about in the Madison area — with Sunshine Place and Black Men Coalition Foundation selected to receive CM CARES donations.
“[CM CARES] support will help families in need across Dane County by strengthening access to Sunshine Place programs that provide food, housing and other essential supports for stability. Last year alone our programs provided 142,571 touchpoints of service powered by more than 36,000 volunteer hours, and demand continues to grow. Your support will expand on this impact by ensuring those facing hardship can find the resources they need to not only survive, but thrive.” – Ann Maastricht, Executive Director, Sunshine Place
“Our employees care deeply about the communities they live in and the organizations supporting them,” said Alan Ogilvie, Church Mutual President and CEO. “This program gives employees a direct voice in where support goes, which makes the impact feel much more personal.”
In our other communities the following nonprofits received donations:
- Wags of Wisconsin – Merrill, Wis.
- Food for Kids – Merrill, Wis.
- All-In Milwaukee – Milwaukee, Wis.
- Courage Plus – Milwaukee, Wis.
- Castaway Critters – Harrisburg, Pa.
- International Rett Syndrome Foundation – Cincinnati, Ohio
- Sunshine Ministries – St. Louis, Mo.
- Trooper Island – Frankfort, Ky.
- Hannah’s Haven – Greensboro, N.C.
- Samaritan Ministries – Winston-Salem, N.C.
- The Sophia Way – Bellevue, Wa.
- Texas Conjunto Music Hall of Fame and Museum – San Benito, Texas
Organizations were nominated by employees who highlighted the role each organization plays in strengthening local communities. The selected organizations represent a broad range of causes, including youth and family support, education access, food and housing assistance, addiction recovery, medical research, animal rescue, arts and culture, and programs supporting underserved populations.
The employee-led giving cycle follows recent tornado relief efforts, which included a CM CARES donation and company match to employee contributions supporting impacted Wisconsin communities.
To date, CM CARES has provided support to more than 1,400 nonprofit organizations nationwide.
